Finally I get to play...

Afternoon hope everyone has had a fab Christmas... I know there's been flooding, and power failures.. We were fortunate we only lost our fence!
I've had my mam staying over Christmas so haven't been able to get into my craft room (I made sure all my work was finished before she arrived.. Coz I'm
 a star lol)..
Anyhoo today stew has been watching the match (I do like footy, but I am having craft withdrawal) so I finally was able to get out the chocolate baroque stamps I bought when I was up there in the North East... And some that I've had for a wee while..( there is a sale on at chocolate baroque.. Go grab a bargain... Click on purple the link)
I'm gutted Google plus wiped all my original blog!! As I have lost so much work using tangled garden, and as I don't have the cards or the pictures (new laptop) they are lost forever... Arghhhh don't get me started with google+ ....

Reet... Here's me cards and ill shut me trap ;-)

The stamp sheets used are tangled garden, fragrant honeysuckle & lily unmounted...
It's been fab getting back in craft room.. I've missed it!
So for now
All the best and see you in the new year

is everyone ready for christmas?

well after my hubby went out on his works do yesterday ... no I didn't go...I don't drink in excess, and hate being around those intoxicated...hes a sailor so as you can imagine... he was merry n bright.. and I was far better off in my craft room chilling out...
Well im not ready for Christmas... my mum arrives this weekend and usually by now im all done and dusted... ha I wish!
my health is a bit all over at the minute... not really able to drive..so that in itself is very frustrating.. anyways enough woe is me...
Ive been playing with some chocolate baroque stamps  the  Lilly un mounted stamp sheet I bought  when I popped into see Glenda at the warehouse..
the past few days ive been using acrylic as my background... as im really enjoying playing with them... so again I used golden fluid acrylic and distress paints.. this time I used blue tones...

started with golden's primary cyan, then mixed with DP salty ocean, then salty ocean, salty ocean mixed with broken china, lastly broken china... I used cut n dry foam to apply as I like the smoother finish...

next I added some background stamping with a stamp from the artistic stamper.. (musical notes)..
I then decided to use some masks, and stencils.... I used gold acrylic to dab thru the stencil.. and I used denim distress ink on the mask....

next I cut it down and stamped my lilly in archival ink a few times.. I only  wanted half the main  image on the background.. as I was attaching an embossed white panel.. I stamped the lilly again onto white centura pearl card and painted with H2O's, cut it out and pieced over the part stamped flower... I then added a shaped panel which I had lying around in my stash.... I stamped the sentiment and added some little metal dragon flies...

the pictures I take from my phone are really not great.. the card is vibrant and very pretty..im happy with the result..  (I do have a digital camera.. but its so much easier using my phone.. and at the min I need easy! lol)
reet.. im off back to my craft room to work on some more stress busting cards... (it really is a good way to anti stress..)
thank you for your visit.. pop by any time and leave me a comment... and i'll visit you back..

More ombré

Well I've been playing again with the ombré technique... This time I didn't use cut and dry I used a brush (and my finger)..
This finish is not as smooth as the cut n dry card I made...

Pebeo green paint, pebeo green paint mixed with mowed lawn distress paint, mowed lawn, mowed lawn DP and bundled sage DP, bundled sage distress paint...

Stamped in mowed lawn& bundled sage distress paint..

I also stamped with paint first then with archival black.. I then used a little aged mahogany DI to edge..

I also added some glitter with a glue pen...
I decided to use corigated card again as I just love it.. I coated in acrylics stamped on paper and glued (it can be hit or miss to stamp on corigated.. And because this image is quite big I decided to just attach it..) I painted with luminarte H2o's (carnival set)... I also decoupaged some of the flowers and Made the butterfly 3D

The stamps I used were from Chocolate Baroque ...
I would like to enter this into craft Stampers Ombre  challenge

Thank you for your visit...

afternoon everyone..
I saw a post on Hels Sheridan's blog for Ombre... well what is ombre I thought (as did she lol).. it is a graduation of colour from dark to light (or vice versa).... so I thought ..yeah im gonna have a go... I don't have a great deal of acrylic paints just the odd few... so the ones ive used are a mixture of distress paints mowed lawn, bundled sage and golden teal fluid acrylic..

I used teal, teal + mowed lawn, mowed lawn, mowed lawn + bundled sage, then bundled sage...

next I decided I was using some super fun stamps from JOFY... (I call them her little fat bird stamps...)
I used Luminarte Silks to colour.. set 7 & 8

I stamped the little house onto cardboard... and cut out for dimension...  I also cut out and decoupaged lots of the leaves to make it a bit more interesting... these JOFY stamps are fab... (this would work as a blokes card no bother!)
its mounted onto craft card, black matt card and an 8x8 card blank...
Im entering this into Craft Stampers Ombre challenge....
thank you for your visit..

My last DT project for Happy campers

It's with great sadness I have to announce this will be my last DT project for Happy campers .. The fun challenge is coming to an end.. It's so busy and We just don't have the time any longer..
So here it is.. The theme is Christmas and I made a tag...

I started out with a small off cut bit of centura pearl and cut the corners.. I used tim holtz distress paint down one side dried it, and then embossed a festive flourish in clear embossing powder.. I then proceeded to add more colours of distress paint by dragging it through the paint on my craft sheet.. And spritz ing with water.. Next I squirted a little cosmic shimmer bronze spray.. And then stamped another flourish ( the stamps I used were both from Sheena Douglass that I've had for a few years and not really used before) I added a poinsettia using a tattered lace die... I coloured using the same distress paint colours... Then I used a PEEL OFF.. Omg this is a 1st for me in years!! Just had em and thought yer go for it lass!!
So that's it... My last happy campers post..
Thank you for your visit

Under the sea

Mornin... Early for me to blog but I'm up
and about today as I have a canvas to finish.. ( it's a Christmas prezzie for a friend)...
Today I'm allowed to start my sneak peeks of the new Sheena stamps.. The the theme is a continuation of the coastal/sea ( my stamp plate last time was the shells if you remember)... Well this time it's under the sea... So expect fish n weed and seahorses and starfish.. All fab beautiful stamps which I absolutely adore .. I'm a keen underwater explorer.. ( we usually pick our holidays on where is good to snorkel or dive.. If the underwater world is crap we don't go..) so as you can imagine when Sheena said she was gonna this theme I was quite giddy... You can just go wild with colours ( right up my street!!!)..
Here is my card for today

I've used distress ink and H2o's for the background and the fish are coloured using snap dragon silk ( set 7) the sentiment is an older Sheena stamp...
You can catch Sheena in create and craft on Friday..
Thank you for your visit..
