melt pot playtime

afternoon peops xx
well as many of you know I spent a day melt potting with the wonderful Hels Sheridan last weekend... so last night I decided it was time to get out my melt pot and dooo some dipping :-)...

Ive made several roses previously so decided on a change...  thought id try using the packets of flowers im not too keen on that have sat in a box for years :-o ... so I firstly coloured them to match my canvas colours... with the acrylic paint..

I also dipped spellbinder die cut foliage... ... ah enough of me waffle.. here it is and you can see it for yourself...

The stamps I used are from Chocolate Baroque... Sheena Douglass and the Art one is a magenta stamp..

the large heart is a Wendy Vecchi stencil...

Its quite a large canvas... but it was fun to make...

a bunch of stuff

Morning...
well I know I haven't blogged for a bit... I've been busy... and also trying to make the best of the time I have with my hubby before he goes back to sea...
so I'm not gonna waffle... here is a bunch of stuff I've been up too....

first off.... a few weeks ago I bought some translucent paste and some micro beads... so yesterday I finally got to play with them...

crafters workshop stencil distress ink translucent paste.. micro beads..

this is the finished card using a chocolate baroque stamp (tangled garden)as a focal image which I decoupaged...

again distress ink, paste and beads...

on Sunday I met up again with the fabulous Hels Sheridan and we had a meltpot workshop... below is the canvas I made...

next I had a play with some Dylusions.... I made the flowers using a dimension stamp (petal passion) the flower stamp in the background is a sheena douglass stamp.. and the white splats are picket fence distress stain..

Finally......
A journal page...
It must be well over a year since I did a journal page...
I decided to go romantic.. seeing since its valentines day coming up...  the stamps are chocolate baroque... I used dylusions... and picket fence distress stain.. and a few crafters workshop stencils...

so there we have it...

Evening all

Happy new year one and all...
I haven't had a lot of chance to play.. Er work .. In my craft room... So tonight I went for it!
I got out the distress ink.. Distress paint, some primary elements, chocolate baroque stamps, Sheena sentiment some signature dies from Joanna sheen. And spell binders..
Ill show you the build up to my card..
A tag, tumbled glass, bundled sage, vintage photo, rusty hinge..

I splodges it into the acrylic block spritz with water and pretty much stamped the splodges.. I did one colour at a time so as they didn't muddy..

Next I spritz the tag with water and blotted it..
I really wanted more intense blue so I dragged the tag thru tumbled glass distress paint...
Next I versamarked thru a crafters workshop mask... I dusted with sunflower primary elements..

Next I stamped a chocolate baroque small flower stamp in rusty hinge and vintage photo..

I then stamped another CB stamp (these stamps are from fragrant honeysuckle).. In archival black and a Sheena Douglass sentiment..

I then made some embellishments..

Here is the finished card...

Reet... That's me..
Thank you for your visit...
All the best for 2014
