Hero arts

Afternoon all..
  Quick one...
Been trying out my tim holtz dies n my Ebosser.. Also some Hero arts stamps and dies...
This is the result...

The embossing folder is an A4 that I got included with the Ebosser.. It's quite fabulous...
I used distress ink and archival ink.. And some pebeo silver wax .. I highlighted the dragonflies with ice silks...

I like it as is... But I'm wishing id put a texture behind the grass.. Maybe using clear embossing paste through a mask... Ah well.. Next time.. As too late was the cry..
Thanks for dropping by..

The day is here!!!

Firstly.. Happy Easter...
Secondly... I've got my Ebosser!!!!

Ive had a bit of a splurge.. Been saving my £2 coins... And sizzix had a sale (and this is not my whole sizzix order..) Omg the sale was too good to pass up.. I bought £450 worth of dies for £90... I have wanted Tims dies for ages but sadly they didn't  fit in my grand calibur.. And I love my GC... But I just had to have em at these prices..  So I finally listened to Sheena and the inkoids and my friend Kath who have been telling me forever to 'just get one'
It came yesterday... But today is the first chance I've had to open the box...
So here is my 1st card..
Using Sheena Douglass stamps.. And tim Holtz dies (the embellishment leaves are sue wilson dies)

I used the new A4 leaf (a taste of India) folder from Sheena..
The backgrounds are distress ink in peacock feathers and mustard seed..
The stamp coloured with spectrum noirs (again I used purple.. Coz I love it!)
Reet that's me..
Have a fab Easter weekend

What a lovely day

Afternoon everyone..
It's been a beautiful day here in Puerto del Pompey.. So I took my work outside..
I'm currently doing commissions and this is a birthday card I made using Sheena Douglass wild rose stamp ( I know they are like a pale pink or cream in real life.. But ..I like purple.. So purple they are!)
And the background stamp is a chocolate baroque fragments stamp.. I used distress ink for the background colour and the flowers I used Spectrum noirs..

Hope the sun has been shinning where you are...

Hold on to your handbags I'm going for 2

My 2nd blog post of the day... I know pick yourselves off the floor!!!

So it's been a gloriously sunny day here in Puerto del Pompey... We've moved our piggies from their indoor shelter to their outdoor hutch... And they are currently grazing in their runs on the lawn... So there has been a lot of cleaning and moving of stuff going on.. And I've stripped and washed all the bedding and they are drying on the line... Very productive...
I've also managed to have a little me time in my craft room... I bought a jofy stencil a few weeks back and thought it was about time I jolly well used it... So here we have it..

For a change.. I thought I'd use archival from the delicious range by Wendy Vecchi ...

It's a bright card inspired by a beautiful sunny day...
Thank you for stopping by

Here is a few more of my samples for the fab 'a taste of India' range from Sheena Douglass... She has excelled herself with this beautiful collection of stamps and embossing folders..

Isn't he gorgeous... T is for tiger of course...

This one is just simply stamped and heat bossed.. The flowers coloured in H2o's and decoupaged...

This one you can see the beautiful Mandela folder I used in the background... And an array of different stamps infused for the topper.. I used spectrum noirs to colour the topper..

This is the 6 stamps sheets that will be available...

Sneak peek 3

Well my mam goes back home to the north east today... Least the weather has behaved..
Moving on to Sheena Douglass 4 day deal starting at 8am on Monday on create and craft TV..
I would like to share with you another of my samples for these upcoming shows...

This is another simple card.. Using a clear embossing resist as the background.. And Herbert (my fondly named elephant) is coloured using spectrum noirs..
I'm only learning to use the pens.. And found Herbert quite easy to colour.. Alcohol pens scare me as I'm not confident with that medium... But they WILL NOT defeat me lol.. I aim to do the accreditation program from crafters companion when I get more confident..
Well that's enough waffle..
Hope you will love these 'a taste of India' stamps and folders as much as we have...
Thanks for your visit

Good mornin..
I've got my mam staying with me this week, so no crafting for me..
However I will share with you a card I made for a certain Mrs Douglass who had her birthday yesterday..
What do you send a lady who's talent is rocking!!
Well it was always going to be made with stamps from her own fair hand.. And these ones are  among my favourites..(as you'll see by my previous various blogged samples lol)
Anyhooooo.. I used hibiscus.. ( what a surprise.. Not!)

The background is made using distress paint and primary elements .. I stamped in PE using the blue bell stamp just to add interest in the background I also used a little versa mark and a background stamp from chocolate baroque and dusted with gold PE....The main images are coloured using PE and h2o's...
So there you have it..
Hope you have a great week

afternoon of challeges..

afternoon everyone... ive been playing with some new stamps that have just been released from Chocolate Baroque..

they are called patchwork landscape and I adore them... here are 2 cards ive made for the fun challenge over on the chocolate baroque facebook page...

1st one...
firstly I stamped a stamp from texture fragments in versamark... and heat embossed with clear powder...

next... I used  2 colours of distress paint... mowed lawn and broken china...  splodged them onto a acrylic block... and dried....
the challenge was to use 3 colours (blue green and orangey brown) so next I took some rusty hinge distress ink and blended it into the card...

I then ironed off my embossing powder... using a household iron and paper...
then I got to stamping my stamps in archival... and added a little interest around the edge stamping in rusty hinge...

so here it is... my finished  card...

my other  entry
this one was using distress ink..
the colours were green, yellow and orange
I used crushed olive, squeezed lemonade and spiced marmalade stamped image in black archival.. this is a very simple card.... but I love the colours...
reet I must go feed my dog hes nudging me!!!
thanks for your visit...
