Guest DT for Chocolate Baroque

Morning everyone,
As followers of my blog will know I'm a huge fan of Glenda Waterworth and her beautiful chocolate baroque designs, I had the huge privilege of going up to meet her  at her workshop in Barnard Castle last year when I was up in the Northeast visiting my Mam, and saw 1st hand how the stamps are made..
So when she asked me if I'd like to do a guest DT for chocolate baroque... of course I said yes...
I waited with anticipation to see what the stamps would be and was not disappointed when they arrived...
I was given the snowy scenes and the turtle doves plates to play with..
Here is my 1st of 3 GDT posts...

For an indepth tutorial if you head over to the Chocolate Baroque design team blog you will find it there...
The stamp plates are available from the chocolate baroque Shop website
Thank you for your visit
And I hope you come back soon

Sneak peek 3

Good mornin..
Well what the rootintootin was yesterday's weather all about??? Bertha tried to show up.. but I'm happy to say she failed here in Pompey.. We had a little thunder and we had a little rain.. then we had glorious sun, then a very eerie sky, then back to sun with a little wind.. Hope today it's just sun!!! Lol..
Anyhooooo back to sneak peek 3..
I love the stamp plate I was given from Sheena Douglass to try out.. It has to be one of the finest images and one of the easiest to use..
It's versatile for men (hallelujah!!! I need all the help I can get for that lol)   and lots of occasions.. Retirement, birthdays, anniversary.. Leaving cards to name but a few...
Moving on to my samples... I'm going to show you 2.. Spoil ya eh lol
1st one..

I love this.. It's simplicity..
I stamped in pumice stone ( the stamp does the work no need for owt else in my book) and I over stamped the couple with a black archival and I used clear embossing over it.. I decided to use a little colour on the clock post just to lift it...

The 2nd is using brusho's
what do you think???

I love the effect of the brushos..
Reet that's me for today...
Have a good one, and thanks for the visit.. If you leave me a comment (which I greatly apreciate) I shall return the favour..

Sneak peek 2

What a contrast today is from yesterday!

Yesterday we had a few hours lounging in the pool, today we need wellies and rain macs!!!
Hope summer isn't over!
Anyhooooo back to earth with a bump.. Here is another of my samples using the upcoming Sheena Douglass  release (Tuesday 1pm create and craft TV sky channel 671)

This background is using H2O's splodged onto my craft mat.. Once dry I stamped the silhouette couple in archival .. I took a little of the archival off with kitchen towel dabbing the stamp before stamping as I didn't want a solid black silhouette .. I added tim holtz clock die which I painted in h2os.. I stamped the lamppost clock on white card coloured in h2os, cut out and stuck to the card..
There we have it..
Thank you for your visit..

New release from Sheena Douglass

Mornin all,

Sheena has a launch of 2 new stamp plates on Tuesday 12th August at 1pm..
I have been playing with one .. Here is the first of my samples

This card I used watercolour card to stamp on with different distress ink colours ( choosing 3 inks I inked up the stamp, spritzed with water.. I also spritzed the water colour card too to get an abstract like effect) then I over stamped in black archival..
To make the background less white I used cut n dry to bring in a little blue hue to tie it all together..
I do really love this image..
So 1pm on Tuesday  create and craft TV
Hope you can join Sheena for the launch..  Design team samples you can find  HERE

Pre printed papers..

Well I'm not a fan of using pre printed papers.. I much prefer to make my own, but I know there are lots of people out there with a patterned paper fetish..
I recently bought a bundle of heartfelt creation dies and it came with one of these paper pads.. So instead of putting it on a shelf to collect dust for years before throwing it out (I know!! I'm a bad crafter) I thought.. Alter it!
So I'm working my way through said papers..
Here is the first creation..
It started life a as a flowery printed 12x12
I cut it and slapped on some acrylic paint..

I then added some craft paste..
Then I spritzed with some spray inks and rubbed on a little silver gilding wax..

Next I added a strip of the paper I'd ripped and painted and curled..

I then used a variety of stamps.. From heartfelt creations and Sheena Douglass.. Stamping in archival and also in acrylic paint..
Next I stamped and cut out flowers and foliage.

And finally here is the card.. With only a small hint of that patterned paper ..

Thank you for your visit..

Brusho's and Dina's scribbly birds

Thank you for your visit today.. It's hot n sunny here today ... It's getting quite normal to not need a jumper or the heating!!! Lol.. (Probably snow next week now lol)
Anyhoo.. I've been in my little cave of craft (hiding from the heat!)..
I've got a few male cards to make.. Have to admit they are not my fav cards to make.. I'm not a fan of vintage sport or motorbikes on cards..
I usually head to Sheena's underwater stamps, but today I thought I'd use Dina wakely's scribbly birds ( I like em for male cards.. Not too cutesy.. But cute none the less )

I've used the brusho crystal powder paints.. And a spellbinders blossom die.. Simples..
Thank you for your visit, your comments are very appreciated ..
